About June’s Wellbeing Theme: Exploration

Here’s Your Admin Strategy Guide for June 2025

Traditional Definition of Exploration: The act of traveling through unfamiliar areas to learn more about them.

How We’re Thinking About It: A mindset of curiosity—trying something new, stepping outside regular routines, and seeing familiar things from a fresh perspective.

Why Exploration Matters at Work

Growth doesn’t happen without curiosity. When people feel safe to experiment, ask questions, and rethink the “way we’ve always done it,” that’s when innovation kicks in. Engagement deepens, creative ideas surface, and teams adapt more easily to change.

Exploration doesn’t need to be a bold leap—it might look like tweaking a daily habit, seeking input from a different department, or asking a thoughtful question in a meeting. Small shifts like these keep workplaces flexible, open-minded, and ready to grow.

And with the summer season around the corner, June is a great time to embrace a more exploratory mindset—whether through personal growth, team dynamics, or simply stepping outside and noticing something new.

Bringing the Theme to Life

  • 🌤️ Host “Open Air” Meetings—Change the setting to shift the mindset. Invite teams to try walking meetings, or join virtual calls from a backyard, patio, or sunny park bench. A little fresh air can go a long way.

  • 🕒 Shake Up the Schedule (Just for a Day)—Break the routine with a small experiment. Try a no-meeting morning or a flexible start time, and then reflect as a team: Did it help with focus? Did energy shift? Exploration begins with asking those kinds of questions.

  • 🚀 Offer Career Exploration Opportunities—Growth shouldn’t be reserved for management. Offer skill-building sessions, leadership training, or cross-functional learning for everyone. When people are invited to stretch, explore, and step up, the whole team benefits.
