About March’s Wellbeing Theme: Align
Here’s Your Admin Strategy Guide for March 2026
Traditional Definition of Align: To place or arrange things in a straight line or correct positions.
How We’re Thinking About It: The practice of syncing our energy and effort with the work that truly aligns with our values and the impact we want to have.
Why Aligning Matters at work
Employees often start the year with good intentions, but by March, competing priorities, shifting deadlines, and the slow wear of winter can pull them off course. The routines, expectations, and shared values “anchored” in January helped teams find their footing. Now the challenge is deciding where their time and energy should actually go. Even with good habits in place, it’s easy to lose direction when everything feels equally urgent.
Once the foundation is in place, teams can look at whether their daily actions match the work that has meaningful impact. Alignment helps employees redirect their effort toward what is important and communicate more clearly about priorities. Alignment also protects wellbeing; it reduces wasted energy and helps people set healthier boundaries around what they can realistically take on.
March is a great time for this conversation. The early-year rush has passed, spring is coming, and teams are ready to revisit priorities and correct course before the next busy stretch begins.
Bringing the Theme to Life
🧭 Clarify Priorities: Help employees identify their top tasks for the month or quarter and name the work that has the most real impact.
📋 Simplify Workflows: Review recurring tasks, meetings, or processes that drain time without adding value. Even removing one unnecessary step can help teams stay more focused and effective.
🤝 Realign as a Team: Hold a short conversation about how the team wants to work this season: what matters most, what needs to shift, and what support people need.
🌱 Support Boundaries: Encourage employees to set limits around their workload and name what is and isn’t within project or company scope.
